We prepare the soil, deliver the rolls straight from the nursery and lay them in a single day. Walk on it after 2 weeks.

Labour: soil preparation, levelling and laying. The rolls are not included and are paid separately, at the nursery's price. Jobs in the districts carry a transport charge, shown clearly in the quote.
Roll lawn is the right choice when you want an instant result: for a house you are selling, for a family celebration already on the calendar, or for a new yard with young children who can't wait 10 weeks for seeded grass to come up. It doesn't make sense on steep slopes (the rolls slide without anchoring), in heavily shaded areas (they die within 2 years) or for large areas on a small budget, where seeding costs 3 times less.
For the first 14 days the roots of the turf haven't yet taken hold in your soil. During that time the lawn needs watering twice a day in July–August and once a day in spring. No walking on it at all. At 14 days we do the first check: if the rolls have rooted, we switch to normal watering and a first light mow (leaving the grass at 6 cm).
Reputable nurseries around Chișinău deliver rolls with a thick soil layer (3–4 cm), cut on the morning of delivery, with a species mix suited to the local climate. Cheap rolls come with thin soil (1.5 cm): they dry out quickly and die at the corners. We work with two vetted suppliers and choose based on moisture, age and species mix.
We measure the area exactly and check access (the rolls arrive on pallets, and enclosed yards sometimes need a crane).
Rotavating, adding topsoil if needed, levelling with professional screeding rails, light compaction. There should be no height differences greater than 5 mm under the turf.
We order the rolls 24h in advance. They are cut on the morning of delivery and laid before midday to avoid discolouration.
We lay the strips end to end in a brick pattern (staggered joints), trim the edges, press them down with a roller and water right away so it soaks into the soil below (~2 cm of water).
One day: final soil preparation and roll delivery in the morning, laying and first watering in the afternoon. The earlier groundwork (rotavating, levelling) is done 1–2 days before.
Technically yes, but soil preparation without the right equipment goes wrong 9 times out of 10: bumps appear that show up at the first mow. The rolls are 80% of the price, and risking an investment of 30,000+ MDL to save 6,000 MDL isn't worth it.
April–June and September–October. Peak summer is risky without an irrigation system. It can't be done in winter.
No. Light foot traffic after 14 days, permanent furniture and heavy toys after 4–6 weeks.
