What complete landscape design involves

Landscaping a garden is about more than planting a few flowers. A garden that still looks good 5 years after it was built needs a plan: how water drains through the soil after rain, which plants will shade each other, where the wind comes from, which areas get afternoon sun. The Verde Acasă team has been designing gardens in Chișinău and the surrounding districts since 2023, and every project starts with a site visit and a design session, not a plant quote.

Why local context matters

Moldova's climate brings winters below -20 °C and dry summers. Plants ordered from a generic catalogue die in their first year. We work with hardy species (thuja, juniper, panicle hydrangea, lavender, ornamental grasses) and with lawn varieties that cope with both July heat and late frosts. We know the local suppliers of topsoil, turf and stone, and we schedule deliveries so your yard is not blocked for weeks.

  1. Site visit and brief

    We come to your home, measure the garden and learn how you use the space: where you sit in the morning, where you host guests, what you want to screen with greenery.

  2. 3D design and quote

    We draw up a visual plan with lawn areas, plantings, paths and, on request, a terrace, gazebo or irrigation system. The budget is broken down clearly by category.

  3. Build in stages

    We prepare the soil, lay paths and edging, plant the structural trees and shrubs, then add the lawn and seasonal plantings. You get photo updates every day.

  4. Handover and care plan

    We leave you a care guide written for your garden: what to do each month.

What clients ask us.

How long does it take to landscape a garden from scratch?

For a standard 200–300 m² yard in Chișinău, the typical timeline is: design 1–2 weeks, build 2–4 weeks. For large projects or projects with masonry work, we plan 6–10 weeks. All dates are fixed in the contract before we start.

Do I need to be home while the work is done?

No. We coordinate with a single point of contact on your side and send you photos every day. Many clients come back from holiday to a finished garden as a surprise.

Do you work on sloped plots or land with poor drainage?

Yes. Slopes and clay soils in the Codri area are a team specialty. We solve them with engineered routing, linear drainage and retaining walls in natural stone or gabions.

Do you guarantee the plants?

Yes, 12 months on plants managed by us, provided the watering and winter protection plan we hand over at the end of the project is followed.
